Do Nothing

This Week’s Challenge: Try doing nothing.

We are constantly scrolling through our to-do lists, ping ponging from place to place, and living either in the past or the future but not in the present moment.

Female IQ invites you to be mindful once again and pick a morning and/or afternoon and do nothing. This could mean:

  • Draw a bubble bath and soak for 20 minutes. Afterward, take your time getting dressed. Pick your favorite face products and body lotion and don’t rush applying. Don’t just throw on any ole outfit. Pick one that really makes you feel good. Carefully brush your hair and style it. Floss. Clean your nail beds. Before you decide what you want to do, really think about what would bring you joy.
  • Go for a walk without setting a time limit or mileage. Just see where your feet take you.
  • T-up a throwback, feel good movie on your TV. Make gourmet popcorn or other snack. Pick your favorite quilt or blanket. Put on your most cozy PJs or loungewear outfit. Make sure the lighting is just the way you want it. The temperature is just the way you want it. And let everyone know you are off duty for the following two hours.
  • Or dive in to your own imagination and find something else that enables you to do nothing.
