This Week’s Challenge: Practice Kindness

This weekend Female IQ was invited to speak in front of 90 attendees about mindfulness at the Community Baby Shower. Amid the coronavirus scare, many people were debating how best to meet and greet people. Should we air hug? Maybe elbow bump? Or maybe just head nod?

One woman at the event made an insightful observation. Pointing out political divisiveness, negative comments on social media, and a general lack of compassion in the world, she expressed a concern for the future. “If people stop hugging and shaking hands, what will happen to the human to human connection?” she asked.

Reflecting on her question, this week Female IQ challenges you to practice kindness. You can do this by:

  • Holding a door for a stranger.
  • Resisting the urge to road rage.
  • Writing a letter to a friend or family member.
  • Volunteering.
  • Or sending positive thoughts to someone.
